1) TO KNEEL: to go down on one’s knees

2) TO LIE: to recline

I'm exhausted so I'm going to lie down on the couch and rest for a while.

3) TO LEAN: to incline, to bend the head or body forward

The boy leaned his head on his mother's shoulder while asking for forgiveness.

O garoto inclinou sua cabeça no ombro da mãe dele enquanto pedia por perdão.

4) TO SQUAT: to sit on heels

All of a sudden, the thief spotted the police getting closer to him, so he quickly squatted behind a wall.
